Pachelbel Canon in D 1
In this course, we'll learn how to play the popular tune - Canon in D. We'll start by reviewing the basic melodies & chords. Then we'll learn a variety of left hand accompaniments, right hand embellishments, and soloing techniques. Lastly, we'll learn how to play this tune with other instrumentalists.
Bach Prelude in C Harmonic Analysis
We will analyze the Prelude in C Major by J.S. Bach. Going phrase by phrase, we will label the chords and their harmonic functions to understand how the music works, while exploring devices such as “sequencing” and “pedal point."

In this workshop, we'll be learning Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Going phrase by phrase, we'll learn the notes, analyze the harmony, explore the dynamics & mood, and discuss the historical context of this beautiful sonata.

Learn all three movements of Clementi's first Sonatina in C Major. Josh shares tips for fingering, playing with expression, and he explains the musical form of these important entry pieces to music of the classical era.

In this workshop, we'll be learning Erik Satie's beautiful piece, Gymnopedie No 1. Going phrase by phrase, we'll learn the notes, analyze the harmony, explore dynamics and articulation, and master a variety of compositional techniques.
Debussy – The Girl With The Flaxen Hair
In this workshop, we'll be analyzing Debussy's The Girl With the Flaxen Hair. Going phrase by phrase, we'll explore extended harmonies, exotic scales, and ambiguous tonality which creates a beautiful atmosphere.
Clair de Lune – Debussy
Learn how to play Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy. We will explore the form, harmony, and unique stylistic elements that make this one of the most beloved classical pieces.
To a Wild Rose
In this course, we'll be learning a beautiful classical piece, To a Wild Rose. Phrase by phrase, you'll learn the notes and rhythms, explore dynamics and articulation, decipher the harmony, and create emotional associations to the piece.
