Incredible content at my own pace
There is no one like Jonny and I'm sure no one sharing all these skills and secrets of the trade. I have limited energy which affects my mind as well as my body and some days I am a beginner and other days I forget everything I've learned. But I am grateful for this course that allows me to go at the pace and difficulty I can manage each time I sign on. Thank you so much!
A giant step into the blues.
This course was a lot of fun and Jonny does a great job of going over the lesson. There is a ton of information and runs and patterns , harmonizing melodies, and awsesome tricks and more. It will keep me busy for a long time. I plan to go to the next step after this. Great course!
Even classically trained me can learn to improvise!
I learned to play piano from classical music teachers and had always thought of improvisation as a mystery which I sadly, did not have a talent for. To my delight, Jonny’s excellent teaching ideas led me into improvisation and to do what feels like this most magical aspect of piano playing. He led me through his many excellent methods to increase the effectiveness (and fun) of my piano practices. For example, to learn and memorize a run, I probably would have just played it over and over until I got it. Jonny wanted us to play the run, but to do it by starting on all the different beats or with different notes of a run. I even got reacquainted with some music theory . Thank you, Jonny!
