This course will help you master Erroll Garner’s Misty at the advanced level.

First we’ll learn the right hand melody and discuss the articulation, intervals, and rhythm. Next we’ll embellish the melody with chord substitutions and learn a pre-written solo. Finally, we’ll put the hands together and play a beautiful final arrangement!

Analysis of masterpieces by outstanding instructors
Another unforgettable song that will remain in my heart. Learning this song was hard. I spent more than a month for it, but I don't think it was in vain. I was especially impressed with the use of Quartal Voicings in the section on how to improvise. Yesterday, I posted a video on Facebook of a performance of "Misty" that I made using what I learned in this lesson. Then I received a stream of positive comments from PWJ members. I am very happy and full of gratitude to PWJ!

I really enjoyed this course and the arrangement. I worked through the challenge a few months ago and struggled with the improve section. However, I just this week went through the Scales for Improve 7th Chords. Now the improve for Misty makes so much more sense. How neat it is to see the various courses complement one another.
