This workshop dives into the essential skills required for ear training. Our main focus will be triad inversions.

First, we’ll review the sound of major and minor chords. We’ll learn how to arpeggiate triads so we can hear the intervals that make up each chord. We’ll cover 2 chord, 3 chord, and 4 chord examples. Finally, we’ll go through song examples to train our ear in a progressive, step-by-step way.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll understand the process of how to approach ear training.

For software ear trainers, we recommend the following: Keyboard Relative Pitch, Note Relative Pitch, Intervals, Scales, Chords

Great course
I really enjoyed trying to work out the chords and with the help of Yannick explaining how to listen to them made it much easier.
Challenging
Only one way out.....PRACTICE listening to triad inversions
Fun Ear Training course!
I enjoyed the process of listening to 2, 3, and 4-chord progressions and figuring them out. Loved listening to songs and figuring out the chords right away. Thanks for including the Q and A from the live class. That was helpful, too. Yannick did a really nice job. Thank you!
Ear training with triads Ii
Again, great course. I learned a lot. Thanks.
More to triad chords than I thought in the beginning
These courses are giving me increased appreciation of PWJ because of the variety of lessons offered. After learning to listen for intervals, etc., described in this course I find myself listening for them in music and sounds from other unrelated sources, such as the radio and TV and even nature.
