Eye opening
Love learning the tricks for these polychords. Seems like a major shortcut to efficient playing. Not sure when to use them yet but that will come over time I guess. Also, starting to love “the crunch” of the dissonant jazz chords.
Curses!
Curse you, Jonny and the rest of the team, with your plentiful, well thought out, clearly explained, and scintillating piano courses! They are addictive and I am hooked! I am having a great time and find myself wanting to spend more and more of it on my anemic but improving piano skills!
Sweet
I love upper structures. ; )
Amazing course!!
Appreciated this course so much. The way the information is broken down is super systematic and clear. Also extremely helpful to hear examples of these elements used in context of great playing, it’s so exciting to get to understand some of the thinking behind the playing. Thank you!!!
Interesting
I knew a little about upper structure, this course presented a nice way to apply them. Hope to assimilate the soonest I can. Very good! Thanks Jonny!
fun to learn
very informative and exciting
Amazing!
Learnt so much in this session. It brought structure to something I think I kind of had a feel for already but hadn’t figured out how it works. It’s important to go through the full course on alterations before this course then you can connect the dots and see where the upper structures come from
Makes difficult concepts easy to understand, and sound great.
After having struggled to incorporate extensions and alterations in my playing, I can see how learning upper structures can make improvisation ideas flow effortlessly.
Informative as always and not overwhelming
Jonny's ability to give great examples
Brilliant - Should be part of the core
I think it is essential to really consolidate upper structures
