Great course
Great course. I like the systematic approach. The systematic approach is what I am looking for as in theory, you don't get the tools to build good-sounding chords fast.
6 Jazz Ballad Harmonizing
Loved the analysis; understand, but need wood shed time to acquire some skill.
Ideally Designed Course
What I'd like to point out is NOT the value of the topics covered, but the value of Johnny adding additional bits of information that come from his lifetime experience as a professional jazz pianist and arranger. Historically, the reason why students choose to study with one teacher over another is precisely because of the highly personalized "additional information" that each teacher uniquely adds to the generic material being covered. For pianists who want to play professionally, that aspect of these lessons is what is most valuable and indispensable.
challenging and very comprehensive
The sounds that this technique of chord usage demonstrates.
