Challenging
Syncopation kicked my A... Stick with it and finally got it. Will need to revisit this lesson often. It really helped to get my hands starting to work independently and together at the same time.
Had a lot of Fun
It's a great course for people with classical piano training to fill up some gaps. Some of the techniques were easier and others very challenging. I'm delighted with the results. I'm jumping onto the next one!
Very challenging and fun
Really enjoyed learning the rhythm patterns. Found the counting to be very helpful!
Tough but load of fun
Loved to spend more time just focused on the rhythms. Really helped breaking up into separate hands. Rhythms 5 and 6 were a challenge particularly switching up the variations - forced me to take the time and practice practice practice. Having the nice chord patterns made it very enjoyable and satisfying once mastered.
Great Overview of Basic Rhythms
Two handed syncopated rhythms are important for being able to play a lot of music styles (rag, latin, swing, even some classical). Jonny did a good job showing the basic rhythms most likely to be encountered with eighth notes. I thought the step by step process of tapping the rhythm with the hands, counting, and putting the hands together on the piano was a helpful way to learn. I'm looking forward to applying these rhythms and counting techniques in other songs.
