how to practice efficiently
For me, as a new member, a great starting point where I have to focus on and how to organize. Good to see what is the mindset of all these PWJ teachers. But to bring it to application I must watch the course again and extract the key phrases. So I can visualize them somewhere in my music room.
tipps how to go on when you feel lost
in the first lesson at the complete beginning Jonny gave tips how to learn for beginners and how is the relation between foundations and styles in the learning tracks. This is very helpful for me.
Practice Essentials
What was covered makes a lot of sense. As I do have problems using both hands. I can play the left and can play the right, but together, doesn’t always work out.
just important!
Whatever I am learning its important to focus on the basics ervery day. They are the foundation everthing is build on. As we are getting more and more to an advanced level we tend to forget this and thats the reason why we do not get further at some point. So be humble and always estimate the value of the basics :-)
Everyone should start with this
Everyone should start here, for two reasons: 1. Jonny explains how you should pick a Foundations track and a Styles track and stick to those two. There is so much here that it's hard to know what to work on. This is good direction and it's working well for me. 2. It stresses the importance of repetition. In my opinion, the word "practice" is too vague a term. Repetition is much more specific and is really the most important concept in practice. Also, practicing in small chunks and slowly.
