Love it!
I actually see progress. I wasn't exactly sceptical, but I did occasionally feel hopeless, even comical, while desperately trying to hit all the shell cords, fingers cramping, sweat beading, while listening to Jonny swing it away telling us to have fun. But eventually something loosened. There's still a lot of work left, but on this last one, I actually did have some fun. Maybe because they were the easies' keys 😄
So well explained!
Jazz is so new for me, I feel I’m making a good start with this course.
Fun
Loved this course! Made me also want to learn the blues.
I wish I knew these concepts years ago.
This Course helped me out alot to be able to play melodies and spread the voicings out between both hands for a more professional sound. The understanding of having the essential tones Root, 3rd and 7th of the chords plus adding the missing note in the right hand is so helpful. I can see that you can also add more color tones in the right hand such as the 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths, for even more flavor. I wish I had this information many years ago. Thank you Jonny for being a master teacher that you are.
Learned alot
I like the way Jonny helps me put concepts together. I have a long way to go, but as someone who has been playing his whole life (64), I still have a long way to go. But, Jonny is great at helping me to put 2 and 2 together and I am seeing connections on the piano with theory I have never noticed before. Really, really great.
