Using the well-known Christmas song, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”, we will explore various techniques including learning the lead sheet, open voicings, rolling eighth-note accompaniment, and even a sample solo. That, coupled with 3 intros and 3 endings and you’ll be able to play a complete arrangement of this wonderful holiday song by the end of the workshop. Can’t wait to see you there!

A nice change of pace for this carol, but still keeping a meditative mood. The chords are fresh and interesting without being too “wild” for the simple melody of this carol. John’s ideas are creative and the arrangement is not too easy, but not beyond reach.
