Simply De-Funkalicious!
Having taken all of the Early Beginner Foundational Courses prior to this one (Keys of C, Am, G, Em, F, Dm ) as well as the Key of B-flat, I can feel the effect of moving methodically from foundational work related to learning scales and the chords that they generate to tackling more and more challenging rhythms. I am loving the gradual approach of learning increasingly complex syncopated grooves as I also master essential chords and inversions. It is really coming together quite nice. It is very exciting to begin to feel like a real player and as a blues/jazz lover, I love your introduction to Major & Minor Blues Scales and Improvisation Tips! Can't wait to start the Key of D Major! This course was indescribably "Funkalicious!" Thank you, PWJ!!
Enjoyed earning a minor key
Good teacher.
Funny melody and groove but not for beginners
I think, for beginners, the two hand patterns in lesson 4 are too hard, especially with tempo of 120 bpm. I made my own playback on iReal and could choose my own tempo.
Loved this groove!
The syncopation was really hard at first. By Lesson 5, I could stop counting and feel the rhythm. Now I am trying to integrate the alternate riffs. So fun.
Love rhythms
I love learning the rhythms. Looking at the music was so intimidating but I got it pretty fast just listening to it. My right hand is still too slow on individual notes. I’m a lefty and my right hand just isn’t cooperating for my liking.
