This course will help you master Girl From Ipanema at the beginner level.

First we’ll learn the right hand melody and left hand chord shells with a Charleston rhythm. Next we’ll embellish the melody with harmony notes and learn a pre-written solo. Finally, we’ll put the hands together and play a beautiful final arrangement!

Fun song
This had a catchy bossa nova rhythm and interesting chords with major 7 and minor 7th and 9th and even sharp 11th notes. I enjoyed writing the chords out and then figuring out the intervals. I haven’t had much exposure to jazz chords and am enjoying the sounds/dissonances they make. I am trying to also listen to the chords and sing the individual notes that make them up.
