Soloing
I´ve loved these lessons!
Solid Foundation
The funky piano styles of Carole King and Chi Coltrane have always spoken to my heart. This course provides a good base for someone who’s just launching into this style. The simple chord progression is easy enough to be able to focus on the scale and riffs presented here. This is certainly a solid foundation on which to build! 👍😀
Great course
I loved playing the riffs with the lh grooves. I love the way the courses are broken down to the most basic and build from there, it helps to reinforce learning and makes you feel so much more secure when making up lines.
Funky excellence
I loved this short course. If you can play basic blues scales and chords but just can’t play that cool solo, then this is for you! Even if you can’t, this is still a great course to get you on the path. It has all the fundamentals of how to play funky blues solos. It is detailed enough without being overwhelming. The ‘rolls’ took my soloing from sounding boring to pretty professional. Once again, thanks Jonny, for fantastic content, excellent delivery, enthusiasm and encouragement and sharing your amazing knowledge.
Compliments and builds on concepts learned in Funk Improvisation but in another key.
Having already completed the Funk Improvisation course, I felt at home exploring the soloing riffs and grooves in Funky Blues Soloing 1, and much more prepared to create my own soloing lines using the RH blues scale with the LH funk grooves. It was rewarding and fun.
