Very challenging but really rewarding
Thank you for the great course, Jonny! I feel I have improved my hands coordination and my confidence in playing challenging rhythms. I have really appreciated the dissection of the rhythm you made by each exercise. It helps getting in the flow and thinking less. Although I am not an advanced player, I could manage all the exercises in a moderate tempo. Next step will be to improve the speed ;-)
Great exercises with tricky rhythms for both hands
I will use these everyday. They are great exercises that really help with coordination and rhythmic recognition.
Challenging
Found quite challenging but enjoyed it. I will spend more time going over it to expand further.
A course for all
I liked this course, it is rated Advanced and I think that is a good warning but if you want to practice wicked rhythms that features half quavers, linked across downbeat boundaries, half quavers in opposition with quavers in same hand or opposition across hands as is seen in many pop or jazz scores, please join me and try it. There is no shame skipping a few towards the end if it is too much (if you are advanced I think you should do them all and very well), you will still get used to going through these challenges and it will serve you well.
Useful and challenging
I really enjoyed working on the patterns. It was challenging at times but not frustratingly difficult. The clapping step helps but at the hands-together step not seeing the instructor's hands is confusing. At that point I got more value out of re-watching the initial demonstration (where the hands are visible) and analyzing how the notes for rh and lh line up in the sheet music.
