Something to aspire to for a beginner like me
Jonny makes playing look so easy. As a beginner I find it's much easier watched than done. Jonny is really encouraging. I'll continue practicing and look forward to playing like this someday.
Great course
This is a super great course. I always wondering how pop pianist improvise, how they always play the right tones, how they pick the notes from the scale and never heard wrong, Jonny tought all here. Thanks Jonny!!
Challenging but Rewarding Course
This course helped show me the ingredients of improvisation using the major and minor scales. I think being successful in improv takes a lot of practice with simple examples, gradually building up as you discover what patterns sound well. Jonny gave helpful advice to practice improv over a single key and scale combination for a few days, which I'm looking forward to incorporating in my practice. I think some of the fast and dynamic improv examples Jonny played were inspiring, but probably a bit too advanced for a beginner/intermediate level course.
Easy to understand, but hard to apply
Powerful tips to get and practice! I learned a lot!
Opened the Door For Me
This workshop opened the door for me to learn how to create beautiful solos without worrying about the notes and the fingering. I really enjoyed the key of C minor:0). It's so beautiful!
