Very clear explanations
The explanations and demonstrations were very clear. I liked how John also showed how to improvise on each piece.
Never expected theory and practice exercises could be so smooth !
I'm really enjoying your fundamentals courses :) Explanations are crystal clear and the exercises are fun to work on.
Efficient, thorough and fun way to learn rootless Major 9th chords
I found this course to be a very pleasing, effective and efficient way to learn the Major 9th chords I especially love that you address and demonstrate the need for a pianist to learn a song as a solo, AND as an accompaniment, AND as a soloist in an ensemble situation when there's a bass player. I know the 9th chords in open position, but struggled with close position and rootless voicing. Your explanations and exercises have helped me become fluent with these chords. Thank-you for creating this wonderful course of instruction!!!!
Ups my game.
I can see where rootless voicings are going to up my game, so to speak. They instantaneously add depth of sound. I enjoyed the improv hints.-even if kept very simple, improv instantly sounds better with these voicings.
Wonderful lessons
Very nice instructor very calmly I have enough the lessons
