A great start!
Learning the chord, especially that funky G sus whatever, and bedding these in with the technique and theory and songs is a brilliant way. Particularly experimenting with style is so exciting.
Fun place to start
I started my piano journey in January and just found Piano with Jonny at the beginning of August. In the onboarding of PWJ my selections placed me in the mid-beginner. I started back with the very beginnings and it helps to learn the approach, pace and song arrangements. The exercises are helpful and are immediately applicable to the arrangements and song selection. It was a lot of fun and a good place to start again.
Lots of great ideas.
Simple songs but still challenging for reading and hand coordination. Grooving in different styles is fun.
Easy for me; perfect for total beginners
Well, upon registration I had to assess my knowledge at close to zero as I lack some fundamental music theory knowledge such as chord progressions or how to define (let alone use) different keys. Well, this course was certainly not challenging enough *for me*, but I can promise it a great starting point for those who are totally new to the piano; and provided that higher-level courses (i.e., the difference between Major and Minor scales) have the same simplicity as this course, I'm very much looking forwards to continuing my PWJ career.
Gradual Challenge
Tying exercises to songs, playing against the backtrack (being part of a band!), playing in different styles...all wonderful things this course has to offer.

Learn the most important fundamentals for the Key of G Major with the scale, diatonic chords, and common chord progressions. Then put it all together with an original tune, "Jonny's Lullaby."
Learn the most important fundamentals for the Key of F Major with the scale, diatonic chords, and common chord progressions. Then put it all together with a groovy Latin tune "Jonny's Bamba."
