In the Country - LIfe is Good!
Another great course from PWJ! I learned all of the fundamentals related to the Key of E Major. In addition to an learning the scale, chords, inversions and accompaniment grooves, I got some great insight to the slip-note technique made famous by the great Country & Western pianist, Floyd Kramer. Adding this Country Groove to the others that I have learned in these Foundations Courses, is expanding my groove toolbox, helping me develop the skills to play in a number of different styles and most importantly to eventually become a well-rounded musician who can interpret, arrange and play my favorite music and develop a foundation for writing original music, which is my ultimate goal! As always, thanks again PWJ!!
Fun and challenging captures it.
I went through it twice because I needed time to get it “into my hands.” A thorough exploration of the scale with lots of ideas thrown in to mix it up.
Great country sound.
The sliding note is a great trick to get that recognizable sound. The accompaniment ideas are very helpful to get a rhythmic groove
Challenging with the slip notes
Initiation of country music
Fun and structured
I like the approach. Step by step and easy to follow
