In this Live Workshop, we’ll learn how to solo over the most common chord progression in jazz, the 2-5-1, using the Upper and Lower Neighbor technique. We’ll explore a variety of exercises to master Upper and Lower Neighbors, plus examples for how to use them in your solos. By the end of the workshop, you’ll understand how to use these beautiful passing tones to create a more interesting piano solo full of tension and resolution.
