I honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

This kid was playing better than most professional pianists at only 16 years old. 🤯

His name is Yohan Kim, and if you haven’t come across him before, you’re in for a treat.

I recently watched his performance of Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, and at one point he launches into this completely ridiculous piano run.

Then another one.

Then a two-handed run that made me stop and rewind the video.

So naturally, I had to figure out what he was doing. 😂

In this lesson, I break down 3 of Yohan’s coolest piano runs and show you how you can use them in your own solos.

And here’s the surprising part…

They’re actually much easier to play than they sound.

We’ll break down:

• The Wind Up — an energetic run that builds tension and launches into your solo
• The Rock Out — a flashy run that flies down the keyboard
• The Country Drop — a seriously cool lick that somehow combines smooth jazz with a little country piano
