Then I Say To Myself, What a "Won-der-ous" Key
Great Course. Learned the usual basics, Natural, Harmonic & Melodic Minor Scales, the Diatonic Chords, Primary Chord Progression, Common Chord Progressions & Inversions. Daine does a great job of challenging one to attain Key mastery rather than simply Key acquaintance. Big difference! Most Beginner Piano Series' focus approx. 70-75% of the Course on learning the basic Keys of C, G, F, D and Bb and their relative Minors and then spend maybe only 15-20% of the remaining 25-30% on minimal introductions to Keys with 3 or more sharps and flats, i.e., Keys of A, Eb, E, Ab & B, for example. These more complex scales are taught along with primary chord progressions and 1 or 2 tunes to practice them. PWJ gives a thorough immersion into each and every key and as the Keys become more complex, Daine is introducing more complex Grooves to play songs in these keys and more challenging techique-building exercises and accompaniments to really become as comfortable in say the Key of B as one has become in the simpler Key of G. I love this approach. As I have moved through learning all of the preceding Keys, I have found that my skill level allows the ability to stretch and attain mastery of these more complex keys. Thanks PWJ and thank you, Daine. Great work!!
Challenging
The arpeggios are a bit too fast for a late beginner...
Epic but very fast
This was great fun, but it would be really nice to have a slower backing
track to practise with as the final tempo is crazy fast for a beginner like me.
Interesting and quite challenging
Many different approaches to understand and play a song.
