Latin FTW
Taking this course together with John's course on *The girl from Ipanema* in parallel finally made the latin comping rhythm stick. Daine playing it at different tempos was a key element. Just counting it was not enough for me (at this age), when I ran out of hands to clap with :-) Of course, who would not enjoy playing Montuno after having it spelled out. Other courses have touched the latin beat, but it was not the main focus there as it was here. This opens the way to several other courses, I think/hope.
Last lesson of all the scales and chords
Thank you for all your help and expertise in teaching me all the scales, chords, inversions, melodies, and accompaniments. What an adventure. It took me 2 years (along with other lessons) . I'm looking forwards to advancing to the 7ths and more styles.
Six Flats and Complex Rhythms!
This lesson was challenging, but Daine kept it fun and entertaining. It's hard enough to play in e-minor with simple rhythms, so the Montuno at the end of the last lesson is going to take a lot of work to get it right!
Latin fun
First time to experience the Latin style, a real good mood feeling. I need a lot more practice to get up to speed. Thanks for a great course learning the different keys. Never thought it would be great fun in learning the various keys.
Difficult but really fun
Latin music is fun but very challenging at high speed :)
