Key of Eb Minor – Hasta La Vista

I found some aspects of the Key of Eb minor course challenging. While I understand the value of reinforcing key concepts, the repetition of ideas, such as understanding a lead sheet, felt a bit redundant after having encountered them in previous courses. This could potentially be streamlined to better support students who are following each course sequentially. Additionally, I found the pace of the song ‘Hasta La Vista’ quite fast for a foundational course, especially at a beginner level. I realize that there is a slower track, but even then it was too fast for me. Since I'm not particularly interested in this style, I didn't feel motivated to put too much effort into it. That said, I was able to experiment with what was presented and get something out of the lesson, especially the chords and sequences. So, I’m not entirely dissatisfied. I just wonder if a bit of rethinking could make it easier for students to stay engaged and motivated throughout the course series.

Scale, chords, chord progressions, inversion and song application

I found this course challenging and thrilling. I like the way Daine explained the Montuno and ways to create a melody with it - something I never knew before. I learned a lot and am still working on getting some speed, but this is fun enough to keep my interest for the duration!

Much more content than I expected. So much information and lots of fun techniques. Very in depth. Wish I had this info 60 years ago! Loving it!!
