I wanted to do something extra special for you to kick off the new year.

This week, many students are thinking about their goals for the year.

Perhaps, one of your goals is to improve your piano chords.

Well, if you follow most chord books to learn piano chords, you’ll most likely fail.

Why?

Because most chord books:

1. Have too many chords — way more than you need to learn.
2. Don’t show you how the chords are actually used in real-world songs.
3. Don’t show you chords in the best order.
4. Teach the chords in a way that doesn’t actually sound good.
5. Don’t tell you how to practice the chords.

Furthermore, there is a lot of conflicting advice online about which chords to practice, and this can lead to so much confusion for students!

So I want to clear things up for you.

I put together a one-year practice plan for you to master chords.

We start from the most basic chords that you should learn, and work our way to the most advanced chords that the pros use.

But the coolest part is that I don’t just teach you these essential chords.

I show you how to make each chord sound good, how it’s used in real world songs, and how to practice it.

In as little as 5 minutes per day, you can work through the full chord exercise.

Week-by-week, I hold your hand, showing you exactly what to practice and when you’re ready to move on.

By the end of this year, you’ll know the 52 most important chords, how to play them in any key, how to use them on any song, and how to play them over any chord progression.

If you have been wanting a crystal clear, step-by-step path to mastering chords, this is it.

The beautiful thing about chords is that there really are just a handful of chords that pro musicians use.

In fact, what you’ll discover in this video is that there are only 30 chords that you really need to know.

Beyond that, there are only 4 primary ways that pros spread the notes of the chord out (called “voicings”).

Once you learn these 30 chords and 4 voicings from the video, you’ll know 99% of what you need to know to be a true chord master.

But… it’s essential that you stick to the plan. The video is divided into 52 weeks, and each week, I give you practical tips to practice each chord.

If you come back to this video every week for the next year, I promise that you will see massive improvements in your chord playing.
