We provide video courses, sheet music, and live learning events for students who want to play jazz and popular styles of music. We are made up of a small and passionate team of piano enthusiasts.

Video Editor — PWJ Internal Content (Remote, $30–$40/hr)

The Role

Make clean edits that enhance the teaching for our piano courses, workshops, live events, and challenges, etc., and ensure quality control to maintain our commitment to high-quality content.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble the footage, clean and cut out dead space.
  • Work with multi-cam footage to choose the best shot of the moment.
  • Polish audio, level, and add underscore as needed.
  • Add simple titles/lower thirds.
  • Accurately sync musical footage and sheet music.
  • Create content chapter/section markers
  • Add on-screen notation or integrate sheet music overlays where needed.
  • Add simple annotations, zooms, and note highlights to enhance the teaching.
  • Ensure quality control and that the content is free from errors.
  • Collaborate with teachers/content team to maintain a consistent PWJ look and feel.
What we’re looking for
  • Can read music and play piano at an intermediate+ level and match visuals to notation confidently.
  • Have solid fundamentals in Adobe Premiere (or comparable NLE like Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, or CapCut).
  • Are meticulous, organized, communicative, teachable, and creative under deadlines.
  • Someone who loves the piano, learning about jazz and contemporary music, and video editing.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Professional experience in editing
  • Familiar with Sibelius notation software.
  • Familiar with the PWJ platforms and the kinds of content we make.
Compensation & Time

Experienced Video Editor — YouTube & Social Media (Remote, $40–$50/hr)

The Role

Turn PWJ piano lessons, performances, and promo footage into high-retention, platform-native videos for YouTube (long & shorts), Instagram/Facebook Reels, and TikTok. You obsess over hooks, pacing, captivating visuals/audio, motion design, captions, graphic overlays—and you can weave sheet music/notation into clips without losing momentum.

What You’ll Do
  • Edit dynamic 16:9 and 9:16 content with creative storytelling, punchy cuts, and tasteful sound design.
  • Design engaging motion graphics, kinetic captions, transitions, effects, and animations that elevate the teaching and musical moments.
  • Accurately sync musical visuals and sheet music.
  • Keep up to date on the latest editing trends and platform developments.
  • Review the final video for quality assurance testing.
  • Work with feedback from teachers/content team to maximize quality and consistent PWJ look and feel.
