Why does Piano With Jonny offer some sheets and not others?
Jonny’s sheet music arrangements fall into three categories: original, public domain, and third-party copyright controlled.
- Jonny owns the rights to sell his original and public domain arrangements, however, any song under a third-party copyright cannot legally be sold without the publisher’s permission.
- When Jonny creates a piano arrangement of another artist’s song (published after 1922), this falls under a third-party copyright. PianoWithJonny will now be working with our partner, MusicNotes.com, to clear these rights so that Jonny’s covers of other artists’ songs will all be available on MusicNotes.com.
- We’ve arranged a special deal with MusicNotes.com where PWJ Members get a 20% discount that can be used once a month on any MusicNotes.com purchases (applies to Jonny’s sheet music and other artists)
